Description
Sild is Danish for herring, a bit of wordplay on the zigzag pattern: dozens of small teak batons laid in herringbone, each one a slightly different grain and tone. It's like your favorite Missoni but for the countertop, by way of Fritz Hansen.
Solid teak, FSC certified, built to work both ways: a cutting board that goes straight to the table as a serving tray. The edge-grain construction means it takes a knife without showing it, and teak's natural oils mean it only improves with use. Available in two sizes, it's one of those pieces that earns its place on the counter and never needs to be put away.
