The Polar Byzantine is a series of rugs based on an original poetic story written by award winning Finnish Author Rosa Liksom. Together with Klaus Haapaniemi they are also planning and staging the story and the fantastical arctic world into an opera where the animals escape the transforming nature into an Ice Palace far away from the earth.
Peaceful and subtle colors form the basis for the Polar Byzantine IV Rug from Moooi, designed by Klaus Haapaniemi. Featuring creatures from land, sea, and air, it paints a picture reminiscent of religious iconography with an arctic twist. Available in tufted wool or polyamide, this rug is guaranteed to resist fading.
Dutch design studio Moooi has expanded their signature individuality into flooring with Moooi Carpets. Their high-tech printing process lets designers from founder Marcel Wanders to Neal Peterson explore previously impossible rug designs, inspired by everything from Renaissance fine-art paintings to Buddhist mandalas.

- Delivery: Standard shipping provides delivery to the front door of a residence or dock of a commercial building. The delivery team will transport the item(s) from the truck to the first available dry, protected area outside your home (front porch, garage, or similar).
- What's Included: Standard Delivery includes delivery to the front door. If the destination is a multi-unit building, the order may be delivered inside the entrance to the building, but not to specific apartment door. In some cases, a signature may be required. Please note: this option does not include inside delivery to room of choice, unpacking, assembly, or removal of packing debris. Cancellation PolicyIf you need to cancel an order, we understand... that happens. Please just notify us as quickly as possible so you can be refunded 100%.
