The PK24 Wicker Lounge Chair, often referred to as the "Hammock Chair," redefines relaxation with its gravity-defying, minimalist silhouette. Designed by Poul Kjærholm to suspend the body between two points, the chair features a continuous, flowing curve supported by a satin-brushed stainless spring steel frame. The seating surface is hand-woven from natural wicker, offering a warm, organic texture that contrasts beautifully with the industrial precision of the metal base. A leather headrest, counterweighted by a steel bar, can be adjusted to provide personalized neck support. Devoid of mechanical parts, the chair relies purely on the user’s position and gravity to find the perfect balance.

Leather

Care & Maintenance: Vacuum regularly using a soft brush nozzle
Cleaning & Stain Removal: Clean only when necessary, using hot water and soap flakes. Dissolve 2-3 tablespoons of soap flakes in 1 liter of boiled water. Using only the foam, apply evenly across the surface of the furniture using a soft cloth. Mop excess water with a dry, soft cotton cloth. Allow the furniture to dry before use. Spot cleaning is not recommended for leather as it can cause discoloration. Damage caused by stain removers is not covered by the Fritz Hansen warranty
Caution: Sharp objects can scratch, and damage leather and non-colorfast clothing can cause permanent discoloration. Avoid placing in direct sunlight for extended periods of time or close to heat sources. Stacking of upholstered chairs can cause pressure marks in the upholstery. To minimize pressure marks when stacking upholstered chairs use the piece of cardboard and thin foam to divide the pressure from the four spacers onto a larger area. This does still not guarantee no pressure marks

Steel

Regularly wipe with a microfiber cloth to remove build-up
Clean with warm, soapy water and wipe dry to avoid streaking. Always wipe in the direction of the grain. Spot clean with benzine on a clean, soft cloth
Chlorine- and acid-based cleaners will cause the steel to rust. Do not use steel wool, steel brushes or other abrasives

Wicker

Care & Maintenance: Wicker will dry out if placed in low humidity environments, including rooms with central heating. When wicker dries, it hardens and risks breaking. Dry wicker is not covered by the Fritz Hansen warranty
Cleaning & Stain Removal: Clean wicker monthly to maintain its condition. Dissolve 2-3 tbsp. of soap flakes in a liter of hot water. Using an atomizer, spray the solution onto both sides of the wicker, allowing it to penetrate the material. Excess water should be wiped from the chair with a clean, damp cloth
Caution: As wicker is a natural material, color variations will occur and are therefore not covered by warranty

Shipment can be brought up two flights of stairs in a walk-up; please let us know if you have additional stairs, which may incur additional costs.
