The Bella Durmiente Floor Lamp from Santa & Cole stands as a luminous totem that blurs the line between a functional lighting fixture and a freestanding art piece. Designed by Gabriel Ordeig Cole in 1985, this floor lamp was created as a warm, colorful counterpoint to the cold, metallic aesthetics that dominated the era. The design features a tall, translucent cardstock shade adorned with a Giclée print, which transforms the internal LED light into a soft, painterly glow rich with color and texture. The shade is framed by black-lacquered wooden discs at the top and bottom, giving the piece a grounded, distinct silhouette. Supported by delicate adjustable legs, it balances effortlessly on any surface, bringing a serene, sculptural presence to living rooms or creative spaces.
