The Abstract area rug was designed by Belgian textile designer Charlotte Lancelot for the Spanish design company Gandia Blasco. Charlotte Lancelot partnered with Gandia Blasco's GAN division on a new collection of charming cross stitch-inspired rugs launched at this year’s Maison & Objet show in Paris. Using hand-stitch techniques on felted wool, Charlotte Lancelot has created an intricate area rug that is well suited for living rooms or bedrooms. This Abstract Silver rug by Gandia Blasco navigates between traditional cross stitch and pixelization, between the past and modernity. The Abstract Silver rug is an oversized hand-made embroidery made of wool and felt. The closer you stand to the rug, the more the pixel pattern will appear, highlighting the cross-stitch ancestral technique and the natural material. Made from 100% felted new wool, Canevas Abstract Silver features a distinctive pattern that manages to both blend in thanks to its neutral tones, and stand out as a focal point of the modern living space. This rug exhibits the beautiful craftsmanship edited by Gan, the Spanish specialist in fine area rugs.
