Description
There is a sensuality to the moire pattern that sways within the shade of the Buri Bulb Large pendant by Ay Illuminate, which is achieved when Filipino weavers take buri midribs, or the fibers of a palm tree native to their country, and tie them so closely together they appear silky. The villages in which these light fixtures are made in a socially responsible cottage industry are near the coast so a tradition of fish-net tying brings the weavers added precision that allows them to craft such close-knit compositions. The Buri Bulb is available in xsmall, small and large, three sizes come in black.
