An Eco Product2Modern is proud to support the world of sustainable design. Whether featuring reclaimed wood, recycled parts, or fair-trade certification, we have identified the most talented sustainable designers of modern furniture, lighting and accessories who seamlessly integrate form, function, and "eco-friendliness". This logo represents our certification that the designer or manufacturer has proven to us they have taken the steps to make a positive difference in our world. All eco-friendly information should be listed on the product page. If you have any questions, please let us know.
Made in USAThis icon represents that a product has been made in the United States. 2Modern does not discriminate good design, however, we do want to recognize the efforts of our designers that support the US economy, provide jobs and teach other citizens their craft. Furthermore, if a product is made in the US, the overall transportation costs are less for materials and finished product, which helps our environment.
HandmadeHandmade items deserve special recognition. Products made individually with care can be a refreshing respite from a world full of mass manufacturing. Whether it is hand-sewn, hand-crafted, or hand-painted, we proudly highlight these artisans and their items.

Inhabit - Architect Wall Flat. If you are looking for an environmentally friendly solution to create a three-dimensional wall in your home or commercial space, the Inhabit Architect Wall Flat provides a lightweight solution. The tiles are molded from a renewable resource called bagasse, a byproduct of sugarcane processing and are sustainable, durable and biodegradable. Before the post-industrial garbage was used to create wall tiles, it was simply sent to the landfills or burned as bio0mass. These tiles come in an off-white color and can be painted in any color that you like. If you have leftover scraps after installing your Inhabit Architect Wall Flats, you can recycle them with your paper products or put them out with the compost. Install the wall flats against an existing wall to hide wallpaper or paint you dont like, or create a room divider where there is nothing! Wall Flats are nested inside each other to create a smaller package for shipping, and each box contains 10 tiles that will cover 22.5 square feet.
