Modern Outdoor - Kenji Table. The genesis for Modern Outdoor comes from an award winning fabricator of fine furniture and fixtures for retail spaces. Made in the USA, the Kenji line is as equally suited for indoor use as it is for outdoor use. With its ultra smooth slate-like black tops, Kenji is completely modern. The pieces in Kenji are constructed with ITTO, or IBAMA certified Ipe, Electro-polished Stainless Steel, and a product that is actually a paper based resin infused material. This beautiful yet durable material is a solid color all the way through, so small nicks or scratches can be easily removed, thus extending the new appearance of the furniture. For its table top, bench top, and planter, The Kenji Collection is made of cellulose fibers infused with resin. This material is "Green" in nature and possesses a beautiful black slate-like appearance. It is made from environmentally sustainable resources and is a unique, durable, long-lasting material that wonderfully compliments the combination of Ipe and Electro-polished Stainless Steel. Its durability is demonstrated by the fact that it is heat resistant up to 350F, and that small nicks and scratches can easily be removed with slight refinishing since the material is a solid color all the way through. It is even rated as food safe by the National Sanitation Foundation.
