reminiscent of many natural forms; a flower, a buzzing
fire-fly, or perhaps an onion…
The Onion Series of lamps looks to replicate the random
charm of nature through a combination multi-layered
wood veneer hoops/strips.
The final creation is a collection of “veneer hoops” of
different diameters and widths that are held together
with a central metal rod. The possibilities are numerous
with variations in hoop sizes and colour combinations
coming together to create ceiling, floor and wall options.
Brand Story:
When lighting innovators Marivi Calvo and Sandro Tothill suddenly caught a glimpse of sunlight through wood veneer, the proverbial light bulb went off, sparking the creation of LZF Lamps. Since 1994, Lzf, has been hand-crafting captivating contemporary lighting for residential and commercial environments with an ongoing collaboration with freelance designers. Lzf conveys its collective vision through simple, fluid shapes offset by unexpected twists of illumination and shade.

Love the Shape!
At first I got a kick out of the onion name of this pendant but I thought it looked beautiful, purchased it and just hung it over my dining room table. It really does look like an onion! But it is beautiful and my friends and guests talk about it non-stop. Glad I purchased it!
