Jon Sherman |
 |
Seven years ago, Jon Sherman, who had previously worked in private equity and real estate development, became the accidental owner of the assets of an Oregon wallpaper company that was going out of business. He had 24-hours to move a 52-foot, steel-plate printing press. He found a log lifter to transport his new possessions from the Northwest to the Deep South. He set up shop in New Orleans but in 2009 moved the modern wallpaper printing biz to Brooklyn. (The New Orleans shop now prints fabric.)
