too short

After reading a review/recommendation on a blog I ordered two of these lamps for bedside reading. Maybe our bed is of an atypical height, but I don't think so, but these lamps were too low to be comfortable to read by. In order to read in bed with this lamp you have to slide down to a flat position, making it uncomfortable to read for any longer than 10 minutes. The design should be revamped to make it an adjustable height. I returned one of them (had already opened and discarded the box of the one).
