Donato D’Urbino e Paolo Lomazzi worked together since 1966 planning architectural designs, accessories, stand settings, interior decoration, and they also cooperate together as town planning consultants. Since the beginning of their activity they cooperated with the architect Jonathan De Pas until 1991 (when Mr.De Pas died). In the 60’s they are devoted in particular to the creation of contemporary furniture and design characterized by the use of signs, materials and advanced industrial technologies; they plan and accomplish several pneumatic living units for the Italian stand at the Osaka World Expo and in 1967 the pumping armchair "BLOW" for the XIV Triennale di Milano. Since then they have built industrial and residential units , and they have extended the range of their activity to cover various areas of the "industrial product" cooperating with the most important Italian companies. They take part, with works and settings, to numerous specialized shows and different institutions commissioned them various works: they created the ritual lamps for Jerusalem Museum and in 1988 took part to XVII Triennale being appointed by the United Nations. Among their most important awards is the "Compasso d’Oro" won in 1979. Their works are included in the design collections of New York Museum of Modern Art, London Victoria & Albert Museum , and Paris Centre Pompidou.
