This aptly named chair, Mr Impossible, designed by Kartell and Philippe Starck, is a synthesis of the most refined design concepts and the most advanced technologies in plastics manufacturinThe chair was born from the (seemingly impossible) desire to unite two oval polycarbonate shells without using any adhesive: a new challenge to obtain an indestructible seal and a truly surprising design effect, revolutionizing our perception of the material. The two laser-welded shells give the seat a bi-color and three-dimensional look. With its organic lines, the snug and comfortable Mr. Impossible almost seems to “hover” thanks to its four transparent legs with their circular hollow core. The seat is available in several colors. Shock and weatherproof, Mr. Impossible is suitable for residential or contract use, and for use indoors or out.
