Like how Haskell's outdoor cushions use 100% recyclable natural foam. Or how Iannone Design's graphic storage pieces sport sustainable materials like bamboo. And that's only a couple of ways these designers exceed eco-expectations.
How we decide
We ask companies to provide hard facts to support their eco-claims, investigating each of them personally in terms of their materials, chemicals used (or not used), packaging, shipping practices and more. Then we award the honor of being in this section to companies that wow us with genuine eco-practices. 2Modern's eco-designation is reserved only for those are eco-hardcore.
Why we're qualified
We're passionate about curating the best selection of eco-friendly designers - we attend trade shows and have sustainable conversations with designers - not to mention we have years of design experience. We don't ever just take someone's word for it when it comes to eco-promises: We always research a company's claims to determine how serious they are about their products' impact on the environment.
